Food scraps are smelly, the soft-seal lid lets food scraps breathe minimizing odor and keeping pests like fruit flies away.
It can be used as a bin on its own, or if you have one of the Simplehuman steel trim bins, you can attach it on the side with its special magnetic docking hook - it is easy to detach for use on your kitchen counter during food prep and clean up.
